Yet to log minutes in league this season
Musso has yet to make a league appearance for Atletico Madrid in the 2026/27 season.
Analysis: Musso didn't play a single minute for Argentina in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and he's also set to operate as a No. 2 behind Jan Oblak at Atletico Madrid. Unless there are rotations or an injury to Oblak, Musso isn't expected to see consistent minutes for Atletico Madrid any time soon.
Ready for new season
Musso is back with Atletico Madrid and ready for the new season, the club announced.
Analysis: Musso did not play a single minute for Argentina at the World Cup, and he underwent medical exams at the Vithas Madrid Arturo Soria hospital along with the other returning internationals before beginning a specific training program tailored by the club's fitness staff ahead of rejoining the full group. The goalkeeper made 22 saves and conceded 13 goals across eight LaLiga appearances last season, keeping three clean sheets in a backup role behind Jan Oblak, and Musso is expected to continue serving as Atletico's primary understudy in goal as preseason wraps up.
