Dani Vivian

Analysis: Vivian had recently returned to team training after an extended layoff that pushed past the earlier 10 to 14 day estimate, with Aymeric Laporte and Aitor Paredes having held down central defense in his continued absence. This marks his first match action of the season, and his involvement now offers a positive sign ahead of a potential LaLiga return against Rayo Vallecano on Oct. 10.

Back in team training

Vivian (groin) is back training with the team, according to Athletic Xtra.

Analysis: Vivian had recently been expected to need a few more weeks before returning, a timeline that had already extended beyond the earlier 10 to 14 day estimate. His return to team training now marks a significant step forward, and he continues to have yet to play a competitive match for Athletic this season, with Aymeric Laporte and Aitor Paredes having held down central defense in his absence. His progression will be monitored during the three weeks of international break, with a possible option to return against Rayo Vallecano on Oct. 10 if deemed fit to feature.
