Departs Marseille after loan spell
Pavard is back at Inter after his loan spell in Ligue 1 but is unlikely to stay, Fabrizio Romano reported.
Analysis: Pavard wasn't acquired by Olympique Marseille after posting 36 tackles, 29 interceptions and 102 clearances and contributing to 16 clean sheets in 34 matches (28 starts). He had a falling-out with Inter coach Christian Chivu and isn't expected to stick around, despite the departures of Francesco Acerbi and Stefan De Vrij in the same role.
Back from suspension
Pavard is eligible for selection following the Ligue 1 ban he served Saturday against Nantes.
Analysis: Pavard may bounce back to a center-back position now that he's available, and he could either join Leonardo Balerdi and Facundo Medina to form a three-man defense or replace one of them if a back four is preferred. Pavard will hope to improve on his current numbers of 2.8 clearances, 1.1 tackles and 1.0 interceptions per game.
