Banged up in Inter clash
Pongracic generated one tackle (one won) and one clearance in 51 minutes before leaving Sunday's game versus Inter because of a possible thigh injury, Fabrizio Romano reported.
Analysis: Pongracic filled in for Luca Ranieri (foot) again and had a nice performance despite not putting up a lot of stats, but he suffered a muscular injury in a last-ditch effort to prevent a goal and couldn't continue. He'll undergo the tests before Thursday's home game versus Atalanta. Viery is the only other center-back in the squad.
Scores first career Serie A goal
Pongracic scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal) and one cross (zero accurate) in Sunday's 3-1 defeat to Como.
Analysis: Pongracic came into the lineup for the injured Luca Ranieri (foot) against Como, his first start after four straight games among the substitutes. The centre back marked the occasion with his first in the league for Fiorentina, also his first Serie A gaol. The Croatian nearly had a second before the break, but the offside flag denied him, and Fiorentina went on to lose 3-1 at home. He finished with one interception, one block and three clearances.
