David Larrubia
MLA
One shot in loss
Larrubia recorded one shot (zero on goal) and two chances created in Sunday's 1-0 defeat versus Getafe. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 50th minute.
Analysis: Larrubia took a single shot during Sunday's loss, but it wasn't enough to break the deadlock. In the end the match ended with disappointing draw as Larrubia was unable to make a real difference. The forward will hope to be more efficient in the coming weeks, with eyes on a bounce back after the international break.
Takes two shots in loss
Larrubia recorded two shots (one on goal) in Wednesday's 2-0 loss versus Atletico Madrid.
Analysis: Larrubia was one of the few players who looked dangerous throughout the game against Atletico's defense, but he wasn't able to find the back of the net. With his constant forward runs on the wing, Larrubia should remain a decent low-end fantasy option in most formats, even if the end product isn't there on a game-to-game basis.
Scores 12 goals in Segunda
Larrubia scored 12 goals and added four assists across 45 league appearances for Malaga in the 2025/26 season.
Analysis: Larrubia scored the game-winning goal in the first leg of the promotion playoffs against Las Palmas. He ended the season as the team's second-top scorer behind Chupe, who bagged 25 goals. Larrubia is likely to have a depth role in 2026/27 if he stays with the club, with Malaga likely to sign several new players in their return to LaLiga.
