LYO
Plays full game
Morton recorded two crosses (zero accurate) and two clearances in Saturday's 0-0 draw versus Paris FC.
Analysis: Morton put up an industrious performance in midfield, covering 11 kilometers, making 44 passes and also recording two clearances. He was subbed in for the first game of the campaign, but has started all three since.
Fully fit during preseason
Morton is fully fit and cleared his issue after training fully with the Lyon squad on the first day of preseason, the club posted.
Analysis: Morton had been ruled out of the season finale against Lens after struggling to finish the previous fixture at the very end of the season, but his complete participation in the opening preseason session confirms there is no lingering concern. The midfielder ended a strong debut Ligue 1 campaign with two goals, two assists and 28 chances created across 29 appearances, and now looks ready to build on that form heading into the 2026/27 season.
Won't feature in season finale
Morton (undisclosed) has been ruled out of Sunday's season finale against Lens after struggling to finish last weekend's fixture, according to coach Paulo Fonseca, per Le Progres OL.
Analysis: Morton ends what has been a strong debut season in Ligue 1 with two goals and two assists alongside 28 chances created, 83 crosses and 52 corners across 29 appearances for Lyon, having been one of the Gones' most reliable creative presences in the middle of the park throughout the campaign. His absence for the final fixture is an unfortunate end to a season that will nonetheless be remembered as a successful one for the English midfielder.
