Moving into bench role

Ahamada started Auxerre's first three Ligue 1 matches but has come off the bench in each of the last two matches.

Analysis: Ahamada has made five appearances, including three starts, for 287 minutes through five league games. He entered in the 81st minute against Nice and at halftime against Brest, with Arthur Piedfort and Kevin Danois starting in midfield in both matches. He should keep this role as far as new coach Will Still doesn't get back to a three-man midfield.

Assists in home win

Ahamada assisted once to go with one cross (zero accurate) and one corner in Sunday's 2-1 win over Nice.

Analysis: Ahamada created Lassine Sinayoko's winner in the 70th minute with his first assist in the campaign. The midfielder logged season-highs in tackles and interceptions (both two) on defense. That was his seventh start in 15 overall appearances.
