Salinas has been loaned to Malaga from Espanyol, according to his new club.

Analysis: Salinas is remaining in La Liga play but is switching teams, as he joins Malaga on a season-long loan with an option to buy. This comes after he earned limited time with Espanyol last season, notching two starts in 11 appearances for only 250 minutes of play. At age 26, he still has limited experience in La Liga play after debuting in the league last campaign. That said, he seems to be more of a rotational pick for the team now, adding depth they will need after promotion.
