Named to bench
Serrano (undisclosed) is on the bench for Sunday's match against Deportivo.
Analysis: Serrano is back in the saddle for Getafe but only on the bench to begin Sunday's match. He started in their previous two matches, so his eyes will be on a starting role in future games, although they likely are taking his return cautiously this early in the season.
Could return against Deportivo
Serrano (undisclosed) missed Monday's 1-1 draw against Celta Vigo due to an injury and could return for Sunday's game against Deportivo, according to coach Jose Bordalas. "Some players might return, we have one more session tomorrow."
Analysis: Serrano joined Getafe this summer from Real Zaragoza, where he made more than 160 appearances for the first team, and this early setback comes not long after his move as he looks to establish himself in central midfield. His potential return positions him to make his mark as Getafe's season continues.
