Competing for midfield minutes
Neto has made four appearances and two starts for Elche through seven LaLiga matches, totaling 161 minutes.
Analysis: Neto has remained part of Elche's midfield rotation without establishing himself as an automatic starter. The 23-year-old has three shots but no goals or assists across 161 minutes. With Villar commanding a regular place and several other midfielders competing for minutes, Neto's workload should keep fluctuating, which will ultimately hurt his fantasy upside across all formats.
Returns to bench
Neto (undisclosed) is fit for Saturday's friendly against Toulouse, included on the bench, according to the club.
Analysis: Neto had been dealing with discomfort that ruled him out of the earlier friendly against Cordoba, so his inclusion in the matchday squad now confirms he has recovered. He made 25 LaLiga appearances last season, contributing two goals and five assists, and his bench role positions him to build back toward regular minutes as Elche continues preseason preparations.
