Yan Couto
Assists in road win
Couto assisted once to go with two shots (one on goal), one cross (one accurate) and two chances created in Friday's 4-1 victory versus Genoa.
Analysis: Couto created Nico Paz's goal in the 40th minute with his first assist in the campaign to give Como the 3-1 lead. The right-back logged season-highs in shos and clearances (three). That was his first full game for the club after subbing off early in the two previous outings.
Loaned to Como
Couto has been loaned to Como from Dortmund, according to his parent club.
Analysis: Couto is on his way out of Germany for the season as he gets a loan move for the 2026/27 campaign, with the defender joining Como in Italy. This will give Como a solid two-way defender on the right, as he can play at full-back or in a right midfielder role. With his experience at UCL, this is a useful pick-up for Como as they join the competition, giving them some more rotational pieces in the defense as well. He will compete for time with Ignace Van der Brempt at right-back for starting time, although he should see the field a solid amount either way.
Scores as late sub to seal 2-0 win
Couto scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) in Saturday's 2-0 victory versus Werder Bremen.
Analysis: Couto came on with two minutes left in the game and scored to seal the match 2-0. This marked the wingback's 19th appearance of the season and was his second goal of the campaign. He has taken a total of nine shots this year, putting four shots on target, scoring two.
