Fit but out of plans
Chavez is fit but remains outside Lens' immediate plans after being left out of the squad since the beginning of the season.
Analysis: Chavez has been overlooked for consecutive fixtures despite being available for selection, missing both the Ligue 1 clash against Lyon on Oct. 9 and Tuesday's Champions League encounter against Sporting CP. The full-back appears to have fallen down the defensive pecking order, with the coaching staff favoring other options in recent matches. His lack of involvement raises doubts about his immediate prospects for playing time, although he remains physically available should the team require additional defensive depth.
Won't be option in UCL
Chavez (undisclosed) is not in the squad for Tuesday's Champions League match against Sporting CP.
Analysis: Chavez has missed the squad for a second straight game, as he was also left out of the squad for the previous Ligue 1 tilt against Lyon on Oct. 9. The full-back will aim to return to the squad against Troyes on Saturday.
