Isaak Touré
LOR
Earns first start of season
Toure made his first start of the season in Saturday's 1-0 Ligue 1 victory over Paris FC, playing 87 minutes and recording two tackles, one interception and seven clearances.
Analysis: Toure delivered a solid defensive performance in his first start of the campaign, helping Lorient secure a clean sheet against Paris FC. The center-back was not part of the club's plans last season under former coach Olivier Pantaloni, having also dealt with a lengthy knee injury that limited his opportunities. However, new manager Alexandre Dujeux's decision to trust him with a starting role represents an encouraging development for his prospects. Toure could earn additional playing time in the coming weeks if he continues to impress, although his place in the starting XI is not yet guaranteed.
Back in squad for PSG clash
Toure (knee) has been included in the matchday squad for Saturday's clash against PSG, the club posted.
Analysis: Toure had been working his way back from a knee injury that kept him out of the picture since the beginning of the season, and the unexpected absence of Abdoul Bamo Meite has opened the door for his return to the matchday squad. The defender is unlikely to see significant minutes given the length of his absence and his depth role at the club, but his inclusion is a positive step in his reintegration after a lengthy spell on the sidelines for Lorient.
