Nursing thigh ailment
Scalvini has been diagnosed with a low-grade left flexor strain, L'Eco Di Bergamo reported.
Analysis: Scalvini will miss the upcoming clash with Milan but isn't expected to be sidelined for too long. Thomas Kristensen and Sead Kolasinac are the only healthy center-backs at the moment. Franck Kessie, Davide Zappacosta and Relja Obric could get some minutes in the role in a pinch.
Bows out early in Venezia match
Scalvini registered one tackle (one won) and three clearances before leaving Monday's 3-1 win over Venezia at the 67th minute due to a muscular injury, Sky Italy reported.
Analysis: Scalvini had a nondescript performance in the back, as Atalanta were, all in all, lucky to concede just one goal, before asking to come out midway through the second half because of some discomfort. He'll need to be evaluated before Sunday's away game versus Milan. Sead Kolasinac is the only healthy center-back since Odilon Kossounou and Isak Hien are tending to serious thigh problems.
