Analysis: Fazzini earned a third straight start to open the season Monday and did well with his time on the field, finding Daniel Maldini in the 29th minute for the lone goal of the game. This is his first goal contribution of the season and his first for the club, a solid start for the midfielder. He would also add two shots, three chances created and six crosses in a solid match all-around.
Joins Cagliari
Fazzini is heading to Cagliari on loan with an option to buy from Fiorentina.
Analysis: Fazzini was unable to find his footing and secure a consistent role last season, finishing with nine key passes, 16 crosses (six accurate) and 18 tackles in 20 showings (five starts). He had more success the previous year at Empoli, scoring four times and assisting once despite missing half a campaign due to injury. He'll help replace Michael Folorunsho and Gianluca Gaetano, who were regulars in 2025/2026 and left the club.
Will miss Atalanta game
Fazzini won't play against Atalanta on Friday because of an illness, Fiorentina relayed.
Analysis: Fazzini came down with the flu in the last couple of days and won't be involved. His role has been significantly less prominent this year compared to his Empoli days, as he has featured 20 times (five starts), failing to contribute to a goal and tallying nine shots (one on target), nine chances created and 16 crosses (six accurate).
