Nazinho
Nets first goal of season
Nazinho scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal), two crosses (zero accurate) and one chance created in Friday's 2-1 victory versus Paris Saint-Germain.
Analysis: Nazinho headed home Jordan Teze's cross for his first goal of the campaign and now has one goal and one assist through three Ligue 1 appearances. His two interceptions, two clearances and two tackles also highlighted his two-way involvement from left-back. That combination of attacking output and defensive activity could make him an increasingly important option on Monaco's left flank.
Assists on Sunday
Nazinho assisted once to go with seven crosses (one accurate) and three corners in Sunday's 1-0 win against Le Havre.
Analysis: Nazinho set up the only goal of the game for Eric Dier with a corner in the 14th minute. Nazinho recorded the most crosses in his team, made 37 passes and also registered three clearances, two interceptions, one tackle and one block. This was his Ligue 1 debut and he put up an effective display.
Signs for Monaco on four-year deal
Nazinho has joined Monaco from Cercle Brugge on a four-year contract until June 2030, the club announced.
Analysis: Nazinho contributed three goals and eight assists across 32 appearances this season, taking his overall tally to six goals and 16 assists across 94 matches since joining Cercle Brugge permanently in 2024 following a successful loan spell. Nazinho developed through Sporting CP's academy and made his professional debut in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund in 2021 under Ruben Amorim, before his move to Belgium saw him help Cercle Brugge reach a historic fourth-place finish and Conference League qualification. The modern full-back, known for combining defensive discipline with a consistent attacking output, now begins a new chapter in Ligue 1 with Monaco.
