Returns to Marseille
Meite will return to parent club Marseille following the conclusion of his loan spell at Lorient, the club announced.
Analysis: Meite made 25 appearances for Lorient, contributing 4.3 clearances per game as one of the more consistent figures in the back line during their return in Ligue 1 campaign. He now heads back to Marseille where his future will be assessed heading into the 2026/27 season under new coach Bruno Genesio.
