Signs with Rennes through 2031

Cresswell signed a contract with Stade Rennais through 2031, according to his new club.

Analysis: Cresswell came through Leeds United's academy over seven years before making his move to Toulouse in the summer of 2024, where he quickly established himself as a pillar of the defense under coach Carles Martinez Novell, known for his interceptions, reading of the game and aerial ability. The 23 year old English defender previously spent time on loan at Millwall in the Championship, and has won the U21 European Championship twice with England, in 2023 and 2025, before choosing Rennes as the next step in his career. Cresswell should hold a regular starting role in central defense for the Bretons under manager Frank Haise.
