Scores in Friday's win
Thiago scored one goal to go with three shots (one on goal) and one chance created in Friday's 3-0 win over Chelsea. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 84th minute.
Analysis: Thiago bagged his first goal of the season, an unassisted strike in the 83rd minute which took the 2-0 lead. It was one of three shots he took in the match and he also created one chance. Thiago has had a slow start to the season, especially coming off his 22-goal campaign last season, but this goal may kickstart another strong season for the Brazilian.
Still without goal contribution
Thiago had two shots (one on goal) in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Sunderland.
Analysis: Thiago produced Brentford's first significant test of Roefs with one of his two attempts finding the target, but he was unable to convert and remains without a goal contribution through three Premier League appearances. That's a quiet opening compared with his 22-goal Premier League campaign last season. Continuing to generate shots is encouraging, but Brentford will be looking for their center-forward to rediscover the finishing efficiency that made him such a productive scorer.
