Amoura completed a transfer from Wolfsburg to Nice on Monday.

Analysis: Amoura represented Algeria at the 2026 FIFA World Cup and spent the 2025/26 season at Wolfsburg. He should add an experienced threat upfront for Nice and could very well compete for a starting role. He scored eight goals and added three assists in 30 appearances (23 starts) for Wolfsburg in 2025/26.

Out against Switzerland

Amoura (thigh) is out for Thursday's match against Switzerland, according to Algerie Football Media.

Analysis: Amoura is going to be sidelined yet again for Algeria after sitting out the final two group stage matches, as the forward is still recovering from a thigh injury. This will leave Algeria without a forward option, although it won't change much after he only played 26 minutes all tournament. Amine Gouri should remain as the starting forward for Algeria.
