Joins Augsburg on season loan
Ibrahimovic has joined Augsburg on loan from Bayern Munich until the end of the season, the club announced.
Analysis: After a season on loan at Heidenheim that brought two goals and five assists in 34 competitive appearances, Ibrahimovic returned to Bayern this summer and trained and played with the first team throughout preseason. Depth in the Munich attack made a regular role unrealistic, so he moves on again for playing time. Augsburg's wide attacking positions were the weakest part of their squad heading into the campaign, which should give him a genuine chance at minutes.

Ibrahimovic is back with his parent club Bayern Munich following a loan period at Heidenheim.
Analysis: Ibrahimovic is coming off an interesting Bundesliga campaign in which he served on both wings, scoring two goals and four assists across 32 games played (25 starts). He also emerged as a regular set-piece taker for Heidenheim during his loan spell. It will be a tougher challenge for him to earn a place in Bayern's rotation, with the possibility of another loan or transfer still open, unless he stays as a depth option behind Michael Olise, Luis Diaz, Lennart Karl and Jamal Musiala.
