Closes out scoring Saturday
Tel scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal), two crosses (one accurate) and two chances created in Saturday's 2-0 win against Chelsea.
Analysis: Tel found the back of the net late in the second half to close out the win for the Spurs with his first goal of the season. This was his first league start since Sept. 5, so the arrow is clearly pointing in the right direction for the young forward.
Scores hat trick for France U21s
Tel scored a hat trick as France U21s closed their European Championship qualifying campaign with a 7-1 win over Switzerland.
Analysis: Tel capped an excellent international window with three goals against Switzerland after also scoring against both Iceland and Luxembourg. The forward therefore returns to Tottenham with five goals across four appearances for France U21s during the break, including the winner that secured qualification for the 2027 European Under-21 Championship. His international form could help his push for more club minutes after Omar Marmoush moved ahead of him on the left wing before the break. Tel remains without a goal contribution across four Premier League appearances, including three starts.
