Isak Jensen
LOR
Makes brief return
Jensen had one cross (zero accurate) in Sunday's 0-0 draw against Angers.
Analysis: Jensen returned to the matchday squad after missing Lorient's previous fixture, making a brief appearance in the closing stages against Angers. The winger replaced Jean-Victor Makengo in the 88th minute but had little time to influence the contest, managing just one unsuccessful cross. Jensen has primarily operated as a substitute this season, making six Ligue 1 appearances with only one start while scoring one goal. His limited involvement suggests he remains a secondary attacking option despite returning to action.
Scores off bench in loss
Jensen scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal), four crosses (one accurate) and two corners in Saturday's 2-1 loss versus Le Mans.
Analysis: Jensen came off the bench to pull one back for Lorient, finishing from a ground cross by Arsene Kouassi that took a deflection on its way in, though it was not enough to salvage a result. Having come off the bench in all four of his Ligue 1 appearances this season, the goal is an encouraging sign for a 22-year-old still looking to break into the starting lineup on loan from AZ Alkmaar. Lorient's next fixture against Paris FC, who sit third in the standings following the international break, will be a difficult test but one where his impact off the bench could again prove important.
Signs with Lorient
Jensen has been loaned to Lorient from AZ Alkmaar, according to his new club.
Analysis: Jensen is on the move this offseason as he finds a new home for a season, with the Danish midfielder joining Loreint on loan. He has made a decent career at Alkmaar thus far at his young age, notching 55 appearances while bagging seven goals and eight assists. This will give Lorient a new attacking threat who should push for starting time immediately once integrated into the team.
