Marin Ljubicic

Returns to Union Berlin

Ljubicic will return to parent club Union Berlin following the conclusion of his loan spell at Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Analysis: Ljubicic joined Dusseldorf in January to gain regular second division playing time after scoring twice in just 20 minutes of action for Union earlier in the season, providing the relegation-threatened Dusseldorf side with an attacking option at a critical stage of their campaign. Ljubicic now heads back to Union Berlin where his future will be assessed heading into the 2026/27 Bundesliga season.
