Cameron Humphreys

Extends Ipswich deal, loaned out

Humphreys has joined Huddersfield Town on loan for the remainder of 2026-27 while also extending his Ipswich contract through 2028, the club announced.

Analysis: Humphreys made 21 league appearances with two goals and two assists during a loan spell at Huddersfield in the second half of last season, and he returns to Yorkshire for a second stint after struggling for regular minutes at Ipswich this preseason despite manager Kieran McKenna's praise for his work rate. He previously impressed on loan at Wycombe Wanderers in 2024-25, scoring seven goals in 48 games, and has also featured for Ipswich in League One and Championship spells since coming through the academy. The extended contract gives Ipswich control over his future beyond this season while he looks to build on last season's form back at Huddersfield.
