Heads back to France

James will return to parent club Rennes following the conclusion of his loan spell at Leicester City.

Analysis: James made 34 Championship appearances including 27 starts across 2,127 minutes for Leicester, contributing 11 goals and four assists alongside 34 tackles and 77 interceptions in an outstanding individual campaign. James now heads back to Rennes where his future will be assessed heading into the 2026/27 season, having previously made 23 Ligue 1 appearances for the club in 2023/24 with one assist.
