Hamza Igamane

Igamane (knee) was seen juggling the ball during Lille's training session as he continues his recovery from a torn ACL suffered in January, according to the club.

Analysis: Igamane continues to make progress in his lengthy rehabilitation, with his latest ball work providing another encouraging step toward a return. The forward remains some distance from competitive action and is expected to return toward the end of the year, while he will miss Lille's entire Champions League league phase. Olivier Giroud and Ayase Ueda should continue sharing the No. 9 role in his absence.

Joins some training drills

Igamane (knee) participated in some team training drills Thursday but remains far from making his return, the club posted.

Analysis: Igamane continues to recover from the torn knee ligaments suffered earlier this year, an injury that will keep him out of Lille's entire Champions League regular season phase, with a potential return expected at the end of the year. Olivier Giroud and Ayase Ueda will continue to share the number nine role until he returns to full speed.
