Departs Toulouse for Ipswich
Emersonn signed a five-year contract with Ipswich Town, keeping him at the club through the summer of 2031, the club announced.
Analysis: Emersonn joins Ipswich Town after one season with Toulouse, where he arrived in the summer of 2025 and quickly established himself as a key attacking option, contributing seven goals and three assists across 31 appearances. He is remembered by Toulouse supporters for a string of high profile goals, including the winner against Olympique Lyonnais, a strike against Olympique de Marseille following a solo run, a decisive goal against Lorient, and his final goal for the club against Racing Club de Strasbourg. Known more for his work rate and combativeness than pure technical flair, Emersonn earned a reputation for his energy and competitiveness, qualities that endeared him to the Toulouse fanbase. He now moves to the Premier League with Ipswich Town, who were promoted after finishing second in the Championship, and his physical, high effort playing style projects as a useful fit for a side building toward survival in England's top flight.
Scores late winner
Emersonn scored one goal to go with three shots (one on goal) and one chance created in Sunday's 2-1 victory versus Strasbourg.
Analysis: Emersonn delivered the game-winner in Sunday's 2-1 Ligue 1 road victory at Strasbourg, striking in the 84th minute after timing his run to perfection to stay onside and meet Cristian Casseres' pinpoint through ball before coolly finishing past Mike Penders to seal all three points for Toulouse. He's now up to six league goals on the season, continuing to make his presence felt in the attack. That said, he's still battling Jacen Russell-Rowe for a spot in the starting XI as Toulouse pushes through the final stretch of the campaign.
Scores late equaliser as a sub
Emersonn scored one goal to go with three shots (one on goal) in Saturday's 2-2 draw against Monaco.
Analysis: Emersonn scored his fifth goal of the season as he helped Toulouse level the scoring in the 90th minute against Monaco. He took three shots in the game, a number he didn't hit in the three games he started but did hit in his last substitute appearance, which he also scored.
