Leaves Austria camp with foot injury
Wanner (foot) has left Austria's training camp after suffering a foot injury during Sunday's Nations League match against Kosovo, with the club's medical specialists set to further assess him in the Netherlands, according to the club.
Analysis: Wanner had made a strong impression in his last two caps for Austria, delivering an assist in both the wins over Israel and Kosovo, and this setback now raises concern for his club availability. Noah Fernandez is the usual option to fill in for him if he is unable to feature for PSV in the coming weeks.
Forced off with national team
Wanner left Sunday's UEFA Nations League contest versus Kosovo due to an undisclosed issue.
Analysis: Wanner could have picked up a considerable injury while on international duty, making him a doubt for upcoming weeks. The attacker has stood out as a creative contributor for PSV during the early stages of the campaign, and his potential absence would reduce the team's offensive quality. Noah Fernandez is the usual option to take his place in club play.
