Strikes in Inter game
Jimenez scored one goal to go with one shot (one on target), two clearances and three tackles (one won) in Sunday's 2-1 loss to Inter Milan.
Analysis: Jimenez broke the deadlock by surprising the goalie with a cannon shot from downtown, putting the ball in the top corner. It's his second goal in the season. He has posted one or more tackles in the last three games, amassing seven (five won) and posting two shots (one on target), four clearances and two key passes in that span. Instead, Jimenenez failed to deliver multiple crosses for the first time this campaign in this one.
Modest output in Genoa clash
Jimenez generated three crosses (one accurate), two clearances and one corner and created two scoring chances in Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Genoa.
Analysis: Jimenez didn't have a brilliant outing like most Fiorentina players in this one, waking up only when it was too late to come back. He contributed to Johan Vasquez's own goal with a sharp delivery from the right flank. He appears to have beaten out Joao Mario and Dodo to be the starting right-back and has produced consistently in the final third. He has put up at least one key pass, totaling eight, and two crosses, racking up 13 (three accurate) in his five showings (four starts), scoring and assisting once, with no clean sheets. In addition, this marked his fifth display in a row with one or more clearances (11 total).
