Scores winner against PSG

Idumbo scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal) and one cross (zero accurate) in Friday's 2-1 win against Paris Saint-Germain.

Analysis: Idumbo scored the winner in the 72nd minute after beating Marquinhos before finishing past Matvey Safonov. He has now started three consecutive Ligue 1 matches while attempting at least two shots in each, showing a growing role in Monaco's attack. His two tackles won and four clearances also showed his ability to contribute without the ball, giving him value at both ends of the pitch.

Four shots in win

Idumbo generated four shots (one on goal), one cross (one accurate) and one chance created in Sunday's 2-0 win versus Marseille.

Analysis: Idumbo was Monaco's most active wide player in Sunday's 2-0 derby win, registering four shots including one on target and delivering one accurate cross as the Congolese teenager consistently threatened Marseille's back line before being replaced in the 85th minute. He won zero of his five duels but his direct running and willingness to take on opponents created the space that allowed Aleksandr Golovin and Paris Brunner to operate with greater freedom through the middle. Idumbo has now featured in both of Monaco's Ligue 1 fixtures and his energy and directness from the left flank are a consistent source of danger in new coach Filipe Luis' system.

Sees minutes in preseason

Idumbo (shoulder) took part in Saturday's offseason clash against Sporting CP.

Analysis: Idumbo has been sidelined from official action since February, as he was a regularly unused substitute before suffering the injury, which required surgery and left him out over the last few months. He'll continue to look for chances to regain confidence during preseason work, and he could eventually become a viable left-wing asset for a team that previously used Ansu Fati and Aleksandr Golovin in attacking midfield roles.

Set for shoulder surgery

Idumbo (shoulder) will undergo surgery and is ruled out for the remainder of the season, according to coach Sebastien Pocognoli.

Analysis: Idumbo had managed just 22 minutes of action in 2026 before the injury struck, making the season-ending news a limited but still unfortunate blow for Monaco. The midfielder contributed one goal and one assist across 164 Ligue 1 minutes this campaign, appearing eight times off the bench, and will now focus entirely on his recovery from surgery ahead of the 2026/27 season.
