Undergoes successful knee surgery
Roman (knee) underwent successful arthroscopic surgery Thursday to remove a loose body from his right knee and is expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks, according to the club.
Analysis: Roman is set to begin his rehabilitation in the coming days after the procedure was completed without complications. The four-to-six-week recovery timeline could keep the regular midfielder sidelined until around the November international break. Aleix Febas is likely to see increased opportunities in central midfield alongside Ilaix Moriba during Roman's absence.
Set for arthroscopy
Roman (knee) will undergo an arthroscopy and is expected to be sidelined between four to six weeks, the club announced Tuesday.
Analysis: The four-to-six-week recovery timeline is assuming Roman won't suffer any setbacks, but it wouldn't be surprising if Celta take a cautious approach and postpone his return until after the November international break. Roman has been a regular starter in midfield for the Balaidos side, so his loss is a massive one. This means Aleix Febas could be in line to see more minutes in central midfield alongside Ilaix Moriba.
