Provides assist in dominant display
Neves assisted once to go with one shot (one on goal) and six chances created in Tuesday's 4-2 win over Barcelona.
Analysis: Neves delivered an outstanding all-around midfield performance, setting up Desire Doue's opening goal after winning possession with a headed interception in the 38th minute. The Portuguese midfielder was equally influential in possession and defensively, creating six chances while winning three of his four tackles and adding two interceptions. He has now recorded one assist, six chances created, seven tackles and two interceptions across two Champions League appearances this season. His growing influence alongside Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz makes him an essential component of PSG's midfield, with his combination of creativity and ball-winning ability providing significant value at both ends of the pitch.
Handed extension
Neves has been extended by PSG, according to the club.
Analysis: Neves is remaining with PSG, as the young midfielder gets a new extension until 2031 after winning back-to-back UCL titles with the club. He remains a crucial part of the team as their young flair in the midfield, earning regular time through injuries and rotation. With the extension, his role should only continue to grow.
