Giovanni Daffara
Available for cup game
Daffara (thigh) has been selected for Friday's Coppa Italia game versus Catania.
Analysis: Daffara has recuperated from a thigh strain and will be ready to go for the start of the season. He's set to compete with Edoardo Corvi, as Zion Suzuki is reportedly on the verge of moving to PSG, although Parma could add one further goalie down the line.
Suffers thigh issue
Daffara sustained a low-grade right thigh strain in training. Tuttomercatoweb reported.
Analysis: Daffara will need three to four weeks to recover and will be a close call for the Serie A opener in late August. He's currently competing with Edoardo Corvi for backup duties behind Zion Suzuki, who's being targeted by a few bigger teams.
Heads to Parma
Daffara has agreed to a deal until 2031 with Parma after joining from Juventus.
Analysis: Daffara has been a regular for three seasons in a row in the lower leagues, first with Juventus' second team and then Avellino in Serie B in the most recent one. He'll compete with Filippo Corvi to be the starter, as Zion Suzuki is expected to leave for a bigger team later in the summer. He kept three clean sheets and allowed 39 goals in 25 starts in 2025/2026.
