Álex Valle
Assists at Genoa
Alex Valle assisted once to go with one shot (one on goal), three crosses (one accurate) and three chances created in Friday's 4-1 victory against Genoa.
Analysis: Valle created Martin Baturina's equalizer in the 25th minute with his first assist in the campaign. He also led Como with season-highs in chances created and crosses in the match. He played all 270 minutes for the club so far.
Contributes offensively versus Napoli
Valle had two shots (zero on goal), two crosses (one accurate) and three chances created and won one tackle in Sunday's 2-1 win versus Napoli.
Analysis: Valle got the nod again over newcomer Kaiki at left-back and was sprightly offensively and serviceable in the back despite facing quality opponents. He has registered exactly two shots (zero on target) and two interceptions and at least one key pass, one cross and one clearance in the first two rounds, amassing three of each as far as the last two categories are concerned.
Busy on both ends versus Udinese
Valle recorded two shots (zero on goal), two interceptions and two clearances and created one scoring chance in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Udinese.
Analysis: Valle drew the nod over newcomer Kaiki in the opener and put together one of his usual performances, as he was involved in the offense and pretty solid in the back, even though his side could not keep a clean sheet. He's facing more competition now. He assisted four times and posted 46 crosses (11 accurate), 51 tackles and 52 clearances in 28 tilts (23 starts) last year.
Out for the final two matches
Valle "will miss the last two rounds due to a flexor strain," coach Cesc Fabregas announced.
Analysis: Valle closes a solid campaign a little early, having scored once, assisted four times, contributed to 10 clean sheets and notched 46 crosses (11 accurate), 52 clearances and 51 tackles in 28 appearances (23 starters). Alex Moreno and Mergim Vojvoda will take care of the role versus Parma and Cremonese.
Leaves Verona game in first half
Valle had one cross (zero accurate) and three clearances before exiting Sunday's match against Verona at the 36th minute due to a muscular injury, Gianluca Di Marzio reported.
Analysis: Valle got banged up near the end of the first half and walked off the pitch rather gingerly. He'll be examined in the coming days ahead of the Parma contest. His usual deputy Alex Moreno came off the bench to replace him at left-back.
Swings in three crosses versus Napoli
Valle had three crosses (one accurate) and one chance created and won one tackle in Saturday's 0-0 draw versus Napoli.
Analysis: Valle was a secondary threat on offense and didn't face a lot of pressure in the back despite the match-up. He has registered at least one cross in his last five showings, amassing 11 deliveries (three accurate), scoring and assisting once and notching five key passes and two interceptions over that span. Additionally, this marked his fourth outing in a row with one or more tackles, for a total of seven (four won). Instead, he snapped a five-match string with at least one clearance.
