At Osasuna, Munoz developed a reputation for turning successful dribbles into shots and dangerous attacking moments.
His arrival could also change the dynamics on Liverpool’s left-hand side.
Last season, much of the responsibility for providing width fell on Kerkez as Gakpo drifted inside. Now, with both Munoz and Ngumoha available, Liverpool have genuine wide threats capable of stretching teams themselves.
And together, they give Iraola very different weapons to deploy.
There are still areas to improve, particularly defensively, but if there’s one coach you’d trust to develop that side of a winger’s game, it’s Iraola.
