Claims place in starting XI
Castrin has started five of seven La Liga matches this season, establishing himself as a regular option in central defense.
Analysis: Castrin has secured a prominent role in the back line, regularly starting alongside either Kike Salas or Arouna Sangante. The center-back has recorded six tackles, six interceptions and 28 clearances across seven league appearances, highlighting his defensive involvement. His consistent run of starts suggests he should remain a regular part of the defensive rotation moving forward.
Rejoins group after injury
Castrin has recovered from his pubalgia and rejoined Sevilla's group, the club announced.
Analysis: Castrin had been sidelined for the club's first two preseason friendlies due to the issue before reappearing at Wednesday's training session at the Jose Ramon Cisneros Palacios complex. His return adds to coach Luis Plaza's defensive options, though the staff is expected to continue monitoring his workload to avoid any setback. The center back is set to travel with the squad for their upcoming trip to Cordoba. Castrin is expected to be gradually reintegrated as Sevilla's preseason progresses.
