Establishes starting role
Moreira has started regularly on the left wing since arriving from Lyon, making four Bundesliga appearances this season.
Analysis: Moreira has quickly established himself as the preferred option on the left flank despite remaining without a goal contribution. He has attempted 10 shots while creating three chances and adding nine crosses and five tackles across four Bundesliga appearances. His consistent starting role and willingness to get involved in the final third should continue to provide opportunities for attacking production.
Completes Leverkusen switch
Moreira has completed a permanent transfer from Lyon to Leverkusen until the end of the 2030/31 season, his new club announced Thursday.
Analysis: Moreira enjoyed an excellent season with Lyon in 2025/26, tallying eight goals and adding 11 assists across 37 appearances in all competitions. He'll add depth and creativity to Leverkusen's attacking line. His ability to play all over the attacking third will be a valuable asset for the German club.
