Ribeiro scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal) in Sunday's 3-0 victory over Schalke.
Analysis: Ribeiro was welcomed to the field from the bench with only seven minutes left to play in regulation. However, it was enough time for him to score a goal, finding the back of the net in stoppage time. This is a momentous goal for the forward after getting an extension this offseason, as he saw minimal time last season, barely playing 600 minutes. He only earned two goals as well, already halfway to his 2025/26 goal tally.
Signs permanently with Augsburg
Ribeiro signed a long-term contract with Augsburg through 2031 after the club exercised the purchase option included in his loan agreement from Sporting Lisbon, the club announced.
Analysis: Ribeiro made an immediate impact during the second half of the season, scoring two goals across 14 appearances including strikes in the 3-2 win at Wolfsburg and the 2-0 home victory against Koln. Analysis: Ribeiro played just 31 minutes off the bench during Saturday's draw and still put in four shots, as he came on desperate to break the deadlock. None of his shots were on target, but the volume is still encouraging for Ribeiro. Unless he can add some accuracy it's hard to trust his upside, though he should get more chances with three matches left in the campaign.
