Signs contract extension until 2032
Kayode has signed a new long-term contract with Brentford until summer 2032 with a club option for a further year, the club announced.
Analysis: Kayode made 56 appearances across all competitions since joining from Fiorentina on loan in January 2025 before the transfer was made permanent, missing just one Premier League match last season as Brentford secured a ninth-placed finish while earning a nomination for the Premier League Young Player of the Season award. Kayode scored his first Brentford goal in a header against Wolves in March and featured seven further times in cup competitions throughout the campaign, with head coach Keith Andrews praising his development, enthusiasm and the impressive evolution he has shown since arriving at the club from Fiorentina, where he had previously made 49 appearances including a run to the Conference League final in 2024.

Analysis: Kayode assisted Igor Thiago for his second goal of the game. The goal put Brentford into the lead, but it wasn't intended as an assist. Kayode had put a shot towards goal when it bounced off Igor Thiago's thigh and went over Jordan Pickford. This is his first assist of the season.
