Earns assist
Fernandez assisted once to go with two shots (one on goal), one cross (one accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 2-0 victory over Osasuna.
Analysis: Fernandez was in the starting XI for the first time all season Saturday, with the forward doing well with his 66 minutes of play. He would fund Roberto Fernandez in the third minute of the match to earn an assist. He now has two straight games with a goal contribution, as he bagged a goal from the bench against Sevilla.
Nets Sunday
Marcos Fernandez scored one goal to go with three shots (two on goal) in Sunday's 1-1 draw against Sevilla.
Analysis: Fernandez scored once during Sunday's draw. The forward made the most of his chances throughout the match, putting two on goal and scoring one of them. The forward has some solid upside, but there are likely to be some matches that are difficult for him to get consistently involved in, still against even opponents he should be a threat.
Back after impressive loan spell
Fernandez has returned to Espanyol after spending the 2025/26 season on loan at Ceuta.
Analysis: Fernandez needed to play regularly and accomplished that goal at Ceuta, bagging 14 goals and adding two assists across 35 league appearances. He'll aim to fight for a role at Espanyol for the 2026/27 campaign, but it wouldn't be surprising if he's loaned out once again due to the fierce competition for roles upfront.
