Misses friendly with slight injury

Mokwa missed Saturday's 3-2 friendly win over Hoffenheim after being ruled out of the squad with a slight injury, the club announced.

Analysis: Mokwa was described as slightly injured by the club after missing Saturday's 3-2 friendly win over Hoffenheim, with reports suggesting the issue is related to his Achilles tendon. The forward has started all four league matches this season and scored twice, making his status worth monitoring ahead of the Bundesliga trip to Union Berlin on Oct. 10. With no further details given on the severity of the issue, his availability will likely depend on how he responds in training over the coming days.

Finds back of net in win

Mokwa scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) and two chances created in Saturday's 4-3 win against Monchengladbach.

Analysis: The forward didn't put many shots up but he was clinical with his finish in Elversberg's win on Saturday. Mokwa will need volume to pair with his efficiency if he wants to score against a Bayern Munich team with an excellent defense. Bayern only allowed 36 goals in last year's Bundesliga campaign.
