Jay Robinson
Solid outing against Sassuolo
Robinson recorded two shots (one on goal), one block and two chances created and won one of two tackles in Friday's 2-1 win versus Sassuolo.
Analysis: Robinson couldn't find his second goal contribution of the season but still had a sound performance, engineering a lot of the offense and posing a constant threat with his bursting runs. He appears to be ahead of Andrea Colpani and Dany Mota Carvalho in the pecking order. He has taken at least one shot in the last three games, accumulating six (four won), scoring once and logging six crosses (zero accurate) over that span. In addition, he has logged at least one tackle in every display, racking up six (two won).
Scores brilliant opener
Robinson scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) and two crosses (zero accurate) in Sunday's 1-1 draw versus Parma.
Analysis: Robinson registered one goal and one shot (on target) across his 81 minutes in Sunday's 1-1 draw at Parma, cutting inside from the left in the first half before unleashing a brilliant right-footed strike into the far corner for his first goal in a Monza shirt and Monza's first-ever Serie A goal. The 19-year-old English forward had played just eight minutes across the first two matches of the season before earning his first start, and his ability to cut inside and strike with power and precision from distance gives the coaching staff an exciting option to consider heading into the rest of the campaign.
Transfers to Monza
Robinson has joined Monza on a season-long loan from Southampton.
Analysis: Robinson heads to Serie A after notching two goals, one assist, 28 shots (10 on target) and 10 chances created in 26 Championship appearances (seven starts) in the Championship last year. He'll begin as a secondary option behind more experienced players in a couple of offensive roles.
