Souleymane Faye

Loaned to Lorient with option

Faye has joined Lorient on a season long loan with an option to buy from Sporting CP, according to the club. Sporting Director Laurent Koscielny said "We are very happy to welcome Souleymane to FC Lorient," and added that his profile fits perfectly with the club's playing identity of speed, depth and dribbling.

Analysis: Faye made 21 appearances with two goals and six assists for Granada in Segunda Division before joining Sporting CP in January 2026, where he went on to make five Liga Portugal appearances and two in the Champions League. The 23 year old Senegal international, capped once for his country, came through Real Betis' reserve side after starting out at CF Talavera, and will wear the number 19 shirt as he begins the next chapter of his career in Ligue 1.
