Benja Cremaschi
Deployed late in Cagliari contest
Cremaschi (knee) had one inaccurate cross and one tackle (zero won) and drew one foul in five minutes in Saturday's 1-0 loss to Cagliari.
Analysis: Cremaschi made a short sub appearance after spending the summer rehabbing after undergoing knee surgery. He fared pretty well in his limited appearances last season, and he'll be in the mix in multiple roles once he's fit enough to handle more minutes.
Called up for Cagliari fixture
Cremaschi (knee) has been included in Cagliari's squad list to face Cagliari on Saturday.
Analysis: Cremaschi has recuperated just in time to be selected for the opener, although he's unlikely to play a lot right away after months on the shelf. He'll be an option in the midfield and on the offensive wings while Parma settle on a new rotation after several exits. He appeared eight times (two starts) last season, notching one chance created, six crosses (one accurate) and five clearances.
Not fully recovered yet
Cremaschi (knee) hasn't participated in the friendlies and hasn't been called up for Friday's cup game versus Catania.
Analysis: Cremaschi is still rehabbing after undergoing knee surgery in March and hasn't been able to appear during the pre-season. He's reportedly close to being cleared, but he's on the wrong side of questionable for the early matches.
Staying at Parma
Cremaschi signed a contract until 2031 as Parma picked up their option to buy him out from Inter Miami.
Analysis: Cremaschi didn't play a lot in his first Serie A campaign and got hurt just as he was starting to gain some traction, but Parma decided he's shown enough to stay, and he'll look to gain a bigger role throughout the summer and next season. He's widely expected to play a full go for the first few friendlies already, as his knee injury was serious but not massive. He recorded one off-target shot, one key pass and six crosses (one accurate) in eight appearances (two starts) in 2025/2026.
Will not return against Sassuolo
Cremaschi (knee) "hasn't completed the rehab from his injury," coach Carlos Cuesta communicated.
Analysis: Cremaschi hurt his knee in mid-March as he had just gained some steam and will miss his ninth game in a row. He might not have done enough to be retained from a loan spell from Inter Miami, as he logged one off-target shot, one chance created and six crosses (one accurate) in eight appearnaces (two starts).
