Still working on fitness
Murillo is continuing to work on his fitness after missing four months with a hamstring injury. According to manager Oliver Glasner "Murillo was out for four months. He did not come back from Brazil in, let's say, the shape he should come back, maybe. But he's now getting back to his full fitness. That's why, at the end of games he's struggling a little bit."
Analysis: Murillo is still building toward full match fitness, having taken late substitutions in two of Nottingham Forest's first three Premier League fixtures. The encouraging sign is that he's trending upward, already trusted to start all three matches. Even without being at peak condition, he remains a central piece of the back line, winning four tackles, four aerial duels, blocking two shots, and contributing to a clean sheet across his trio of starts.
Single shot Saturday
Murillo generated one shot (zero on goal) in Saturday's 2-2 draw against Liverpool.
Analysis: Murillo took a single poor shot and had a quiet day for the most part during Saturday's draw. Earning a point and a quiet game in Anfield is far from a bad outcome for a defender going to visit. He should have the chance to build on this with some easier matches, at least on paper, in the coming weeks.
