Delivers assist on opener
Murillo assisted once to go with zero corners and one chance created in Saturday's 2-1 win versus Aston Villa. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 48th minute.
Analysis: Murillo provided the key contribution in the buildup to Liam Delap's opener, also being part of the chaotic six-minute sequence where Matz Sels clawed a Victor Lindelof effort off the line before Murillo's clearing header struck the Swede and forced Sels into another stop. He registered one chance created and zero shots across 90 minutes while helping Forest maintain their defensive shape throughout a match they dominated for long stretches, ending the game with two won tackles, two interceptions and eight clearances.
Still working on fitness
Murillo is continuing to work on his fitness after missing four months with a hamstring injury. According to manager Oliver Glasner "Murillo was out for four months. He did not come back from Brazil in, let's say, the shape he should come back, maybe. But he's now getting back to his full fitness. That's why, at the end of games he's struggling a little bit."
Analysis: Murillo is still building toward full match fitness, having taken late substitutions in two of Nottingham Forest's first three Premier League fixtures. The encouraging sign is that he's trending upward, already trusted to start all three matches. Even without being at peak condition, he remains a central piece of the back line, winning four tackles, four aerial duels, blocking two shots, and contributing to a clean sheet across his trio of starts.
