Scores first-ever EPL goal

Palacios scored one goal to go with five shots (two on goal) and one chance created in Saturday's 3-2 loss versus Crystal Palace.

Analysis: Palacios found the back of the net late in the first half as he took advantage of a rebound following an impressive play from Joshua King and a deflection from goalkeeper Dean Henderson. Palacios quickly grew into a starting role at Fulham. Aside from the goal in this loss, he's tallied eight shots, one chance created, two tackles and two clearances.

Sees yellow in loss

Cesar Palacios registered one shot (zero on goal) and one cross (zero accurate) in Sunday's 1-0 loss to Sunderland. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 59th minute.

Analysis: Palacios was shown a yellow card during a quiet showing against Sunderland. He struggled to get involved on the ball in any major way and defensively he ended up in the officials book. This was, on paper, a more manageable game, making this performance even more disappointing.

Signs with Fulham

Palacios has signed a long term deal with Fulham through June 2031, with a club option for an additional year, joining from Real Madrid, according to the club. Owner Tony Khan called him "a hard working and creative young midfielder" and said he believes he will be a good addition under new manager Alvaro Arbeloa.

Analysis: Palacios registered 19 goal involvements, including 15 goals and four assists, across 32 appearances for Real Madrid Castilla under manager Alvaro Arbeloa, who later gave him his senior debut upon taking charge of the first team, one of six appearances he made in the second half of last season. The 21 year old attacking midfielder, capped up to Spain's U20 level, will wear the number 8 shirt as he reunites with Arbeloa at Fulham to begin the next stage of his career.
