Heading back to Troyes
Diaz will return to parent club Troyes following the conclusion of his loan spell at Brest.
Analysis: Diaz made 20 Ligue 1 appearances including 17 starts across 1,560 minutes, contributing seven chances created, 27 tackles, 24 interceptions and 100 clearances in a solid defensive campaign. Diaz now heads back to Troyes where his future will be assessed heading into the 2026/27 season, having gained valuable top-flight experience during Brest's campaign.
Busy defensively in loss
Diaz had two shots (one on target) and made three tackles (all won), nine clearances, two interceptions and two blocks during Wednesday's 2-1 loss against Strasbourg.
Analysis: Diaz had an outstanding defensive performance, putting numbers all over the place and making a lot of key interventions, like a goal-line clearance that at least kept his team in contention. The center-back has been in and out of the team during the entire campaign, but mostly provided stats when called up to play. Over his last two starts, Diaz had four tackles, 15 clearances, three interceptions and five blocks.
