Plays every minute in defense
Diaz has started and completed each of Troyes' first five league matches, returning to his parent club to be the main leader of the back line for the return of the club in Ligue 1.
Analysis: Diaz has logged all possible 450 minutes for ESTAC this season, contributing six tackles, six interceptions and 14 clearances. He returned to Troyes this summer after making 20 Ligue 1 appearances on loan at Brest last season.
Inks extension with Troyes
Diaz has extended with Troyes until the 2030 season, according to his club.
Analysis: Diaz is not leaving Troyes for a few more seasons after an extension, signing with the club until 2030. This comes after he served with Brest in Ligue 1 last season and showed his worth, starting in 17 of his 20 appearances while bagging six clean sheets. He is looking to be a lock-on starter for the beginning of the season after the extension, hoping to help his team to another season of Ligue 1 football after promotion.
