Joins Liverpool on long-term deal

Jacquet signed with Liverpool from Stade Rennais on a long-term contract, the club announced.

Analysis: Jacquet came through the Rennes academy before making 33 senior appearances for the club, including 21 during the 2025-26 campaign before a shoulder injury in February cut his season short. The 20-year-old French center-back also built up valuable experience with 24 appearances during a loan spell of around 12 months at Clermont Foot. A France under-21 international, Jacquet arrives at Anfield as one of the more highly regarded young defensive talents in French football, with Liverpool moving to secure his signature earlier this year ahead of his official arrival subject to international clearance.
